At low tide the light is accessible on foot across a sand-bar. As the water is low and warmer, its a great place for the children to swin and play at low tide. Lovely park and gift center is open in the summer. Take exit 26 at Shelburne, visit the Tourist Centre for directions and history of this beautiful light house. Approximtely 15 minutes from Tourist Center. The drive down to light house is simply beautiful. Check your local newspaper for time for low tide.
