Seal Island Light House, Barrington, N.S.

The Seal Island  light house kit is simplistic in design.  The beginner to the advanced rug hooker can complete this project easily.  The yarn kit is a creative gift and a good way to try rug hooking before investing. All you require is a hoop or fame to hold the burlap tightly. The Seal Island Light is now a Museum in Barrington, Nova  Scotia. Climb the 1907 vintage iron lantern that sits atop a replica of the upper storeys of the original 1831 light house. The museum contains displays showing the history of the area's lightkeeping families, and the hundreds of shipwrecks that made Seal Island a Bay of Fundy graveyard in the days of wooden sailing ships.Barrington is on Hwy #3 off the 203 in Shelburne Country, Nova Scotia.
