Background Impressions is a pattern designed for the fiber artist or advanced rug hooker. This design is based on light to create form and depth. As you can see the pale blue in the distant trees is a cold color used to create distance. Note the color harmony of the rocks and trees. This can be a fun pattern working your values from light to dark. In the picture the light is coming from the left so the tree trunks, rocks etc., are all light on the left side and gradually go darker towards the right side. This design is a challenge! Enjoy.
