This light house is a primitive design printed on quality burlap. The light house pattern can be a rug or a pictorial.  Enjoy rug hooking this artistic light house. The original light was build in 1840 to guide sailing vessels into Yarmouth harbour. The current light house was built in1962. The keepers house has a small museum and is open to the  public. Beautiful colorful Cape Forchu light house sitting on high cliffs is a seascape not to be missed. Take the Yarmouth exit off highway 101 or highway 103, turn into Yarmouth, follow Starrs Road to Main Street, or turn left at the Ferry Terminal and drive along Water Street to the end.  You will see the Horse Monument.  Turn left to Vancouver Street and watch for the "Yarmouth Light" sign.  Turn left on route 304 south for 2.1 km (1.3 mi.) Keep to the left, drive 11 km (7 mi) to Yarmouth Bar, and continue to Cape Forchu.  Beautiful scenic drive so have your camera ready. Enjoy the guided tours and gift shop.
