Light House fiber art collectible.Abbott's Harbour Light House is located in West Pubnico, Nova Scotia. There is a  small park and picnic area on site. This traditional "pepperpot" light was built in 1922 to guide local fighing boats into Lobster Bay and Abbotts Harbour.  Before the light house was built, a local fisherman would stand on the shore below his fish shed, waving a lantern to help vessels into port.  Endangered roseate terns nest on an nearby island and can be seen from the lighthouse. Directions: From Exit 31 on Highway 103, or on Route 3, take Route 335, 5.2 km (3.2 mi.) Just before the Red Cap Motel, turn right onto Abbotts Harbour Road, 1 km (0.6 mi) to the lighthouse, parking in front of the gate. Enjoy this seaside adventure.
