Dyeing Recycles - Reds

1_Presoak.jpg
Presoak wools in hot soapy water for 1 hour or longer

Pour Formula 1 leaving places for the basic color to show through.

9_Use_back_of_wooden_spoon_to_ensure_the_dye_penetrates.jpg
Use the back of wooden spoon to blend the dyes into each other and use saved dye for dry spots.

Make holes in foil for steam to escape.

Drain and lightly squeeze excess water.Scrunch up your wools in the pan.

Dabble next formula over part of the wool and save a bit for places the dye didn't penatrate.

8_-_Rich_colors_sprinkle_with_asorbic_acid.jpg
Sprinkle wools with 1 tablespoon of citric acid dye crystals for brighter color.

Put in 250 degree oven for 35 - 45 minutes.

Choose a casserole dye formula with 3 mixtures. I choose a dark formula to create exciting reds.

Dabble 3rd formula, thinking dark to light.

If your pan of wool feels dry, add a little hot water from the side of the pan. Cover with foil.
